Olga F. Jarrín Montaner, PhD, RN is an Assistant Professor in the Division of nursing Science at Rutgers School of Nursing and a core member of the Institute for Health, Health Care Policy, and Aging Research. Dr. Jarrín leads the Community Health and Aging Outcomes Lab where her interdisciplinary team focuses on developing and integrating health systems and policy innovations to improve care for older adults living with chronic and advanced illness including Alzheimer’s Disease, End-Stage Renal Disease, and HIV/AIDS. Within health policy, Dr. Jarrín works on risk adjustment, comparative effectiveness research, and state policy evaluation. Her methodological research focuses on the imputation and measurement of social-determinants of health through innovative uses of existing data sources. Her research is partially funded by a Pathway to Independence K99/R00 award in Patient Centered Outcomes and Comparative Effectiveness Research from the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). Dr. Jarrín received her Ph.D., M.S., and B.S. In Nursing from the University of Connecticut before completing postdoctoral research fellowships in gerontological nursing and nursing outcomes research at the University of Pennsylvania funded by the NIH and John A. Hartford Foundation.
